Solution Marketing has a unique and proven method for conducting Executive searches.  Clients may refer to this guideline to ensure the highest quality searches.

Initial Stage

o Investigation:

We gather information on the search to determine its critical criteria, requirements, and special circumstances.  We determine the terms and conditions of the search based on it’s complexity and difficulties.

o Agreement:
We verbally agree with Client to partner on the search.
o Contract:
We e-mail you a contract, which you sign and fax back to us.
o Commitment Fee:

We will send you an invoice for our commitment fee.

o Search Commencement:
Your search will begin when we receive your signed contract and commitment fee check.

Search Stage

o Search:

We meet with you to download all requirements, position specifics, and company information.  If required, we will write the Job Description for each position that we will be recruiting for.

We must receive written approval (by mail) from the client’s Hiring Manager prior to using it in our search.

We conduct our research and identify appropriate candidates, whom we initially interview initially by phone and, subsequently interview in person.

o Candidate Submission:
We submit only the most qualified candidates' resumes and personal bios to you via an electronic submission.

Candidate Interview Stage

o Interviews:

You choose the candidates you’d like to meet in person. We schedule and keep track of all interviews.

o Selection:

You then select your favorite candidate(s), and, if appropriate, have them come in to your company for second (and, if required, third) interviews.

Hiring Stage

o Reference Checks:
Once a final candidate has been chosen, we begin a series of telephone reference checks. We utilize both candidate provided and "blind" references.
o Negotiation:
Once a final candidate has been chosen, we act as a third party, negotiating with both the Client and Candidate for the terms of the job offer.
o Job Offer:

We work with the candidates to develop a fair and reasonable “wish list”. Then we negotiate with the Client and Candidate to arrive at a mutually agreeable offer and compensation package.  We work together with the Client to draft an Offer Letter, based on the verbally agreed-upon offer.

We invite the candidate in to our office to review the letter and company benefits (where applicable).

The candidate signs the offer letter (usually at our offices) and we fax it to you for your records.

He or she begins working for your company on the agreed-upon start date.

o Follow-up:

We maintain bi-weekly contact with both the Candidate and the Hiring Manager over the course of the next three months to insure that the candidate is fitting in to the new environment and that the candidate is meeting the expectations of the hiring manager.

If remediation is required, the Principal of Solution Marketing, Jennifer Rosky, is available to step in to mediate, counsel and resolve the situation.  If the situation cannot be resolved within the first three months of time (and the search fee has been paid on time, per the contract), then Solution Marketing will refill the position, at no charge.

o Billing:

Solution Marketing will invoice you for the agreed-upon search fee (less the previously paid commitment fee) on the candidate’s start date.  This invoice is due by the candidate’s 14th date from hire.
